Irena Remestwenski has a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies (University of Marburg) and over 10 years of experience of working as a trainer and educator in historical-political education and in Russian-Ukrainian dialogue projects. She has founded and directed the Center for Dialogue and Reconciliation "Iskra", a Ukrainian NGO that is currently the largest ERASMUS+ partner organisation in Ukraine. Irena has secured third-party funding for, planned, and carried out a large number of civil society development and capacity building projects in Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
At RECET, Irena oversees the general administration, event management, budgeting and reporting, office management, and public relations. She also produces the Transformative Podcast and implements best-practicies from the fields of project management and digitalisation.
Since February 2022, Irena has been acting as the volunteer country coordinator for Austria in the Science For Ukraine project, as well as coordinating RECET's own efforts in supporting endangered scholars from Ukraine.
