Jannis Panagiotidis is Scientific Director of RECET. From 2014 until 2020, he was Junior Professor for Migration and Integration of Germans from Russia at the Osnabrück University Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS).

Current research projects:

• "The Dynamics of Change and the Logics of Transformation: State, Society, and Economy at Critical Junctures", doctoral study group funded by the FWF doc.funds program.
• "Discrimination of People of Eastern European origin on the Labour Market: Institutional and Individual Contexts", funded by the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency, Germany.

Former projects:

• Project on post-Soviet immigrant communities in Germany, part of the research network "Ambivalenzen des Sowjetischen", carried out by Nino Aivazishvili-Gehne, funded by the Volkswagen Foundation.
