Filip Balunović was an Associated Researcher at RECET in 2024.
Filip Balunović (1987, Belgrade) is a visiting fellow at RECET, Vienna. He is a research fellow at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory at the University of Belgrade and an associate professor in the Department of Political Science, at the Faculty of Media and Communication (Singidunum University in Belgrade). Balunovic received his PhD from the department of Political Science and Sociology at the Scuola Normale Superiore in Florence. He graduated from the Faculty of Political Science in Belgrade, and he received his MA degree in International Relations and European Studies from the European Institute in Nice, in cooperation with the Bilgi University in Istanbul. He received his second MA degree in Human Rights and Democracy from Universities of Sarajevo and Bologna.
He is author of two monographs: “Freedom Notebooks” (Serbian: “Beleske sa slobode”) and “The Poverty of Human Rights: The Right, the Pandemic and Science as a New Field of Political Struggle” (Serbian: “Beda ljudskih prava: Desnica, pandemija i nauka kao novo polje političke borbe”) (FMK 2023) (Serbian: Beda ljudskih prava: Desnica, pandemija i nauka kao novo polje poltičke borbe).
