Irena Remestwenski, M.A., is Managing Director at the Research Center for the History of Transformations (RECET) at the University of Vienna. Irena has a Master's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies (University of Marburg) and 10+ years of experience as a trainer in historical-political education and in Russian-Ukrainian dialogue projects. She is the founder and formerly Director of the Center for Dialogue and Reconciliation "Iskra" (Ukraine).

At RECET, Irena oversees event management, budgeting, and science communication. She also produces the Transformative Podcast and implements best-practices from the fields of project management and digitalisation. Since February 2022, Irena has been acting as the country coordinator for Austria in the Science For Ukraine initiative, as well as coordinating RECET's own efforts in supporting endangered scholars from Ukraine.
