Together with its partner, non-profit association "npo.Austria", the Research Center for the History of Transformations (RECET) is offering 5 fellowhips for outstanding Ukrainian scholars, funded by the City of Vienna.
Completed PhD degree (or equivalent) in History, Sociology, Economics, or a comparable field.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Interest and experience in one of the following research fields:
- Labor relations and transformation “from below”
- Economic thought and reform politics
- Migration and transnationalism
- Social movements and volunteerism
- Cultural transformations
Preference will be given to candidates who are already located in Vienna.
Selected fellows will be invited to spend between 2 and 10 months at RECET between June 2022 and March 2023.
The Fellows will receive a stipend of EUR 5.000 in total (for the entire fellowship period) to cover accommodation, living expenses, health insurance and any incidentals related to their stay in Vienna. According to the needs of the candidate, the stipend can be stretched to 2 months (2.500 Euro/month), 5 months (1000 Euro/month), and so on, to a maximum of 10 months (500 Euro/month). RECET will provide the fellows with office space and access to administrative and personal support.
The Fellows must spend the duration of their fellowship in Vienna.

Finalists will be selected by a jury of experts. Applicants are notified of the jury decision in due time. The jury is not required to publicly justify its decisions, nor to provide applicants individual feedback on their applications.
