This workshop is linked to the launch of Texts and Contexts from the History of Feminism and Women’s Rights. East Central Europe, Second Half of the Twentieth Century. Eds. Zsófia Lóránd, Adela Hîncu, Jovana Mihajlović Trbovc, and Katarzyna Stańczak-Wiślicz. Vienna – Budapest – New York: CEU Press, 2024.

The editors will offer an introduction into the methodology of preparing the book, and, with the invited speakers, present parts of it. The speakers will focus on the relevance of the book for research in a wide range of fields from transdisciplinary approaches, East and Central European history, global and intellectual history to gender studies and literary studies.

Participants are invited to explore the book beforehand and focus on one chapter / author of their choice in particular. During the workshop, we will rely on participants' feedback and questions in order to discuss methodological issues that are of immediate interest to them.
